Easy Reci is a Hong Kong recipe app. It collects supermarket discounts each day and suggests recipes built from what is actually on offer. This policy explains what the app stores about you, why, and who else sees it. It is written to describe what the software genuinely does, not to cover every theoretical possibility.

The app can generate recipes two ways, and they are meaningfully different for your privacy.
On your device. On supported iPhones, generation runs through Apple's on-device foundation models. Your request never leaves the phone and we never see it.
In the cloud. If you choose cloud generation, the text of your request — for example "something with chicken wings and potatoes" — is sent to Google's Gemini API to produce the recipe, along with the current supermarket items it should use. Do not put personal information into that box; it is sent to Google and is subject to Google's privacy policy.
The app shows one kind of ad, and only when you ask for it: after using your free cloud recipes for the month, you can choose to watch a short ad for one more. Ads come through Google AdMob and are non-personalised: AdMob is asked for ads based only on the kind of content in the app, such as cooking and groceries, and the app does not request or use your advertising identifier. Google still receives the technical information needed to serve an ad, such as your approximate region and device type. See how Google uses data from apps that use its services.
When you tap I cooked this on a recipe, we record that you cooked it and, if you add them, a star rating, a short tip and one photo. The number of people who cooked a recipe and its average rating are shown to everyone in the app. A post with a tip or a photo appears in the Community tab with your display name (or "Home cook" if you haven't set one) and the date. Your email address and account details are never shown.
Discount information shown in the app is collected from publicly available Hong Kong supermarket websites. It is about products, not about you, and browsing it involves no personal data at all.
When something goes wrong on our server — a supermarket website we could not read, or a recipe that failed to generate — a report is sent to Sentry, an error monitoring service, so we can find and fix the problem. This covers our server only; the app on your phone sends nothing to Sentry.
Before a report leaves our server, we remove the details of the web request that triggered it, including its address, headers and contents, along with any email address or username. Your IP address is not included either. A report still holds technical details of the failure: where in our code it happened, and the values that code was working with at the time. Usually those are product names and prices, but occasionally they include text you sent us, such as a cloud recipe request. Sentry stores reports in the United States.
Account data is held in a managed PostgreSQL database hosted on Microsoft Azure in the Southeast Asia region (Singapore). If you are in Hong Kong, your information is therefore stored outside Hong Kong.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone else for their own marketing.
No service can promise perfect security. These are the measures the app actually implements, described plainly so you can judge them.
You can delete your account from inside the app, under Settings. Deletion removes your account record, your favourites, your community posts and photos, your preferences and your device security key from our database. Some information may persist briefly in routine backups before being overwritten.
Easy Reci is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect or who we share it with, the date at the top of this page will change. Material changes will also be noted in the app.
